Valencia is surrounded by lush countryside and is on the Mediterranean coast in the east. This is the third largest city in Spain and has a population of over 800 000 (2008).
Valencia was a Roman colony in the 2nd century BC Kr, and one can still see the Roman buildings in the old town. Llotja de la Seda is a building listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, was built in 1400 - and 1500's. Ciutat de les Arts in the City of incoming air is an area that is dedicated to the art and science. The complex consists of, among other modern buildings, an artificial lake, and Aquarium.
Valencia Airport is located in the town of Manises, about 10 km outside of Valencia, is Spain 8 largest airport.
