Majorca is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, just off the Spanish east coast. This is the largest island in the Balearic archipelago, and in 2010 the number of inhabitants estimated to be at nearly 900 000.The capital and largest city is Palma de Majorca, which has a location in the southwest of Majorca.
Majorca is very popular among tourists, and this is the most visited island in the Mediterranean. Since the 1950s, tourists flocked here to relax on the many beaches, wander the old streets of Palma de Majorca, visit the theme park Marineland or explore the many caves on the island.
Palma de Majorca Airport is also known as Son Sant Joan Airport is located approx. 8 km outside of Palma de Majorca.This is Spain's third largest airport.
